After the '92 concert in Jax, Florida, me & my two friends were riding home, when one of them commented on all of Metallica's "new fans" that had only responded/knew the words to the few songs that had been played on the radio (ie, Sandman, Unforgiven, Wherever I may Roam, etc.) My other friend (the one driving) said that the only song he knew *all* of the words to was "the unforbidden." After we stopped laughing at him, we came up with "Gary's list of Metallica songs" -
"One" becomes, of course, "Two"
"Enter Sandman" becomes "Enter Salesman"
"Dyer's Eve" becomes "Summer's Eve"
"The God that Failed" -> "The Wad that Sailed"
"Creeping Death" -> "Creeping Breath"
I think we made up "alternate titles" for every Metallica song released up to that point. Gary was not impressed.
