The story:

I was 10 years old when this came out in the
summer of 1970. It was yesterday that I
decided to look this song up so that I could
play it, and was shocked to find that for the
last 45 years I've had the wrong lyrics!

I love the song, always have, and looking at
the correct lyrics now I think how could I have
done that? But at the age of 10 my vocabulary
was more limited than it is at the age of 56,
the hard part is going to be to "unlearn" the
wrong lyrics that have been a part of me for
most of my life. AFAIK nobody knows that I had
the wrong lyrics all these years, but now
everyone does...
