The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
The DJ put on an 80s mix on his way out the door of the bar where I work on some quiet Sunday night. I was bouncin' along to a guilty pleasure of mine, "She'll take a day to decide," when the video drew to a close and I looked up and saw that the real title was "Bette Davis eyes". Who is Bette Davis?? Why does somebody have her eyes? The decision was reached quickly then?
A month later the DJ played it again, and I went back to the booth to confess. He laughed his **s off. And conceded that it actually made a pretty good refrain. Taking a whole day to decide is an intriguing setup (what is she deciding?), and a situation I find myself in pretty regularly. But alas, this 80s pop is no longer available to validate and subtly mock my indecision. :-(
