The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
This wasn't my mistake originally, but that of a friend of mine. We were both in second grade or so and were learning the song in music class. I was singing it to myself outside of class at one point and she looked at me with utter disgust: "You're singing it wrong. It's LITTLE EYES OF JANE," she informed me. As much as it didn't make much sense for somebody to fall in love with disembodied eyeballs, she was so confident and repulsed by my supposed misinterpretation I actually believed her for a while.
