My mom and I were listening to it in the car when I
expressed my confusion about the above lyric. My mom
said "I think it's 'let her die'".
"But why does he want his girlfriend to die?" I
asked.
"Because guys are stupid," she replied.
We never knew for sure what it was until the country
version came out.
