Gary Is My Gaywad Son...

The story:

I am the lead singer for a Kansas cover band,
called "Topeka. I had been singing these wrong
lyrics for years until someone pointed out that
I was way off! It finally made sense why the
crowds booed so much and threw things at us. I
had always thought the song was about a father
coming to terms with the fact that his son Gary
was a homosexual. It always did seem like an
odd subject to me for a rock song... Now that I
know the correct lyrics, the crowds don't boo
as much anymore :)
