The story:

My dad has a thing for making up his own lyrics to
songs, so naturally when this song came on in the
car he started singing "my big toe". I knew Eddie
probably wasn't singing about his toe, but I still
had no idea what the real lyric was.

It still sounds like "my big toe" to this very day,
which is kind of funny since the rest of the song is
so sad.
