The story:

At parochial school, I was saying my version aloud,
even after I read in a book that my version was
wrong. I could imagine, however, that the misheard
as it is could be a reference to the forbidden fruit
in the biblical story of Adam and Eve; and you're
telling Jesus that you won't be lured into evil.
