For anyone not familiar with Tove Jansson's "Moomintroll" books, the Hemulens were usually serious, bordering on gloomy, creatures, as I recall, and certainly not given to expressing themselves through the medium of dance; but at the age of 8 or thereabouts, this was the only word that seemed to fit!
