The story:

i was sitting at my computer, belting out faith no more tunes, and i couldn't help but think that there was something wrong with my version of paths of glory. the first line made no sense. for months before that, i had dismissed the funny lyrics as yet another "mike pattonism" because his lyrics rarely make sense, and usually don't mean anything [he admits this himself].

anyway - i sang it around my sister, who laughed hysterically and told me that couldn't be right. to prove her wrong, i did a google search.

i proved her right. boo.
