The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
I was with a large group of college kids and professors during a holiday while the radio played this song. People asked me what it meant (not English native speakers) and I said "you can leave your head on" as in "strip down completely and only leave on what is part of your body". Around 50 people looked at me, admiring my linguistic skills, when a teacher corrected me. I just wanted to vanish but instead insisted my "live recording" was like this. Couldn't even accept it with dignity.

Funny misheard and story! By the way, R.I.P. Joe Cocker. He died last year, December 22, at the age of 70. :(
