The song was on the radio and I realized that I had always thought "rabbit people". It suddenly dawned on me that that couldn't be the actual lyric so I asked my friend what Paul Simon was saying (I didn't mention what I thought he was saying). When my friend said "ragged people" I just went "oh....okay." I felt like a doof. But I do like the idea of rabbit-human hybrid creatures living on the outskirts of society.
