I was singing along to this song at a friend's house, and asked out loud, "is the Hunter Floridian a hotel or what?"
Imagine my dismay when my friend pulled out the lyric sheet and showed me the actual words. I felt like a real dope, and, considering that I am Canadian, I should have understood what Gord Downie was singing !
