We were never carpet stoned

The story:

I was cruising with two of my good friends. I loved the song and was singing it out loud, very loud, when they started busting a gut and asked me if I knew what being 'carpet stoned' meant. I said that I didn't know, in which they proceeded to tell it meant people buy carpet glue and get high off of it. Believing this, they were able to keep it a secret from me for a while. They recorded it and played it when we were with a small crowd of friends, which included a guy I had a major crush on (knowing that I would still sing it aloud). Again the whole crowd started laughing and my crush came up to me to tell me what it really was and that there was no such thing as carpet stoned
