The story:

In my own defense, I'd never actually heard the song played when I came to the conclusion that those were the lyrics; I'd only heard people singing it. So the first time I heard it on the radio, I was at a party, listened a little more closely, and promptly started cracking up at myself. When I spilled what was so funny, I couldn't live it down for weeks. Better yet though was the time (before I found out the real words) I convinced a Catholic friend that my version was correct- she was horrified, but she believed me!
