The Story: Don't eat the fruit in the garden, Eden,, It wasn't in God's natural plan., You were only a rib,, And look at what you did,, To Adam, the father of Man.
The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
I just noticed it. It's the opening theme of Dan Bodah's program, and I was looking up some OTHER of its lyrics when I was disabused of my notion about the above. I had thought it was making reference to both the Mothers of Invention and the Modern Lovers, rather than just the latter band twice.
The authentic lyric can be taken as either honoring Jonathan Richman's band as an influence, or boasting that they were better than that band. In the version in my head, they were referencing both his and Frank Zappa's, so my version was either twice as thankful or twice as boastful.
