I got past how much I loved the song at a certain point to attempt to make sense of the lyrics which, given that Chris Corner himself claims IAMX is a sensationalized act, is not really worth the time. I just felt kind of dumb having sang these lyrics loudly as I had until I started wondering what they could be and looked them up. Thankfully noone heard me or at least noone who will ever listen to IAMX.
The song still doesn't make sense to me, and I like mine better because it's a more consistent list of things.
