I finally broke it to them last night, that there is no mention specifically of Brandi-lee in the song, and it is not her song. I explained who Brenda Lee is. I sang them the correct lyrics and...
they refuse to believe me. They say I'm making this up. They both say this song specifically mentions our Brandi-lee. I have posted 3 different websites with the correct lyrics on my blog, but apparently this is a case of the internet being wrong. And so they loudly sang what *they* believe are the correct lyrics to me so that I would see how wrong I am - that there is no such singer as Brenda Lee. I guess I stand corrected :^p
