I first heard this song at a middle school pep rally. I thought those lyrics made perfect sense. When I was in high school, I decided I wanted the cassette and was looking through all of the Eagles trying to find the song "Party Tonight" I finally asked the guy at the counter (who was an awful lot like comic book guy on the Simpsons) and he didn't know the song until I started to sing it. Not only did he start laughing, but he called one of his co-workers over to laugh at me too.
