Summer of '98, this remake of the classic Cyndi Lauper song was all over the radio. However, they changed the line "The drum beats out of time" to "The 808's on time". However, I didn't know what an 808 is at the time and after listening to this song many a-times, came up with my own version. I found out YEARS later what the actual lyrics are.
