Okay, so I KNEW this made no sense whatsoever. I kept listening really closely, over and over, every time I heard it on the radio. I simply couldn't hear anything besides "cotton bras." Finally, in a discussion on a message board, someone pointed out the correct lyrics. Even now that I know, it still sounds like "cotton bras" more than like "purple prose. Besdies, I say "purple prose" doesn't make any sense either, and I persist in singing "cotton bras."
