When I heard this song on the radio in the mid-1980s, I, like millions of other Americans, had been caught up in the Cold War hoopla against the old Soviet Union and thought these were the correct lyrics.

Umm...the Czars were Imperialists; the Bolsheviks were the Soviet communists. They kinda hated each other. The Bolsheviks killed the last czar.
