The comic store sells hill-lights for riots

The story:

While playing with a cover band years ago, I got a chance to sing this song (along with "Mustang Sally" and "What I Like About You"). I didn't understand this lyric, my copy of the album didn't have a lyric sheet...so I sang them the way I heard them, even though it made no sense. Our drummer asked me afterwards, "What the hell did you sing? Something about a comic store?" I sheepishly nodded. Our drummer sometime later, presented me with an oil painting, a hillside riot scene, which he had entitled "Murdered Lyrics"
