Pathetic, I know, but what the hell. Anyway, I've always loved the tune, but could never work out just what the hell Eddie Veder was singing. So one day I'm listening to sound samples on iTunes, I saw Jeremy, and I listened - I had never known that this song was Jeremy. Then I hear the chorus, and I hear, quite clearly, "Jeremy spoke in class today" and I'm thinking, oh... (I was 5 or 6 when I first heard it, OK?)
