Actually this misheard lyric comes from my dad. After "cutting the rug" with my mom at a wedding, he exclaimed that the "Taximan" song was a great dance tune. After my bewildered response, he sang the misheard lyrics, as listed above, to huge laughter. Needless to say, dad didn't get out much in the disco era.
