This wasn't actually mis-heard by me, but mis-heard by someone transcribing the lyrics for a jamaican piano bar song book. While sitting at a piano bar late one evening at the Couples Ocho Rios resort (quite inebriated), 10 or so equally impaired people around the piano were singing Hotel California from a songbook that had been transcribed incorrectly. No one noticed the typo except for my companion and I!
Comedy ensued.
