The story:

Not misheard but something my mate used to sing. For years I never knew the real words. When it was finally re-released I was able to impress everybody with my very own version of a 60s classic. Which always put a smile on my face because people were really up themselves about this kind of thing in the 80s, the Levi's ads giving it all a special kind of sickening nostalgic reverance.
