It was my cousins friend who misheard the lyric.. we were out one night and the song was playing and we were singing along and she was singing 'slide in the vaseline" We said "what are you saying?" she told us and we said NO it's "life in the fast lane" She said "Oh, really?" I can not hear the song without hearing that lyric now!
