The story:

This song was popular the first year that my husband and I lived together. We both liked it, but we just could not make out this line. I came up with the above lyric, and was able to convince him I must be correct (it makes sense, right? The guy not only saw the film, he also read the book...and he liked it). Not sure when we figured it out, but I don't think I was embarrassed.
