After listening to the song for countless times, it suddenly dawned on me: That soup is very, very out of place. It had absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the song and was way too random to be some vague metaphor. So I restarted the song and listened again. Sure enough, I was embarrassingly wrong.
I mean what the hell? Soup?
