I heard the song for the first time when I was in 4th grade, and I heard it near Halloween, so I assumed they were saying "Scream my bones off." So I continued to think that until last summer, when we were off to do fieldwork at a pond, there were spiderwebs, and so I was singing, "Let's not scream our bones off here." It took them a while, before they figured out I was INCORRECTLY referring to this song!
