The story:

Face Down is an impassioned, strong-willed song in which the
singer calls out the man who is abusing the girl they both love.
Those among us who are familiar with the Metal Gear Solid series of
video games, of which the aforementioned Otacon is a main
character, can already see where this particular mondegreen has
created nonsense. For those who aren't, I'll illuminate: Otacon is a
nerdy little engineer with a guilt complex who wouldn't dream of
hurting even a fly. Not something that one can reasonably accuse a
domestic abuser of either being or pretending to be.
