The story:

I discovered that I was wrong years ago when a friend pointed it out to me. Still, I keep singing it this way because it's funny... A co-worker also sings it this way now; as I think she's convinced that it's a better version.

I kind of embarrased myself last week though. While on my way to the car I was singing these lyrics out loud and someone else from work heard me. Perhaps he thinks that I really think those are the right lyrics; who knows. :-)
