People always talked about this mysterious song Little Red Corrvette by Prince. I couldn't believe I'd never heard it. Then one day in the Austin Draught House I was singing along "Pay me the rent and come back - baby I'm just so sad." I asked a friend if the song made sense to him, I mean if the guy's so sad maybe he should forget about the rent and focus on the girl. Once I convinced him I was serious, he escorted me out of the bar and doubled over in laughter as he set me straight. I was 29 and had been singing it wrong for 16 years.
