The Story: Don't eat the fruit in the garden, Eden,, It wasn't in God's natural plan., You were only a rib,, And look at what you did,, To Adam, the father of Man.
The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
I was in a poetry class in grade nine and my assignment was to (a) choose a song and bring it in, (b) play it in front of the class, and (c) discuss the lyrics, which were distributed to each student. I taped "Keeping The Faith" from the radio and tried to work out the lyrics, obviously with a few errors, though no-one in the class blinked an eye during the presentation. I just explained those lines by saying that I didn’t know what they meant. I didn't think much about it until I bought the CD "An Innocent Man" many years later. After I read the accompanying lyrics I realized how wrong I had been and, to tell the truth, the thought still makes me cringe with embarrassment after all these years.
