Oh, this year I'm off to Sarnies Bay

The story:

I first heard this song when I was about five years old. As the son of
a Yorkshireman, the word 'sarnies' (to mean sandwiches) was
common in our house, so I wasn't surprised to hear a song about a
place called 'Sarnies Bay' where you could, presumably, go on
holiday and eat your sandwiches. Being a pretty uncool 1970s track,
it wasn't on the radio much in the 80s. So I only discovered the real
lyric in my mid-twenties... and realised at the same time that there
wasn't actually a place called 'Sarnies Bay'.
