The story:

it is the year 2002, and i am with my boyfriend listening to an 80's radio station, this song comes on and me, his 20yr. old gf bursts out with "living on a square." he looked at me and started laughing. since i was like 10 and first heard that song, i had pictured the guy and the girl running around on a big square painted on the ground somewhere. i couldn't figure out what the big deal was, until i realized the real lyrics.
