Oh Lord, please don't let me be Miss Understood.

The story:

I had heard this song as a dutch boy years ago, always sang it as "Miss Understood", which sounds exactly the same. My english wasn't up to speed back then. Hey, I was seven or eight, and four-syllable words were hard! :)

Year later, when I was in my twenties, I heared the lyrics when I was in my room and suddenly realized that it were not two words, but just one word. It totally changed the song, to my great relief, as I had misunderstood [pun intended] that crucial sentence to such an extent that I had never had any clue why someone would've been so keen in not-being-Miss-Understood, that he'd write a song about it...!

It still gives me a huge smile thinking about that one moment of clarity... :))
