The story:

When I was a child, I always thought

It's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
There's a bad moon on the rise

Was actually

Oh don't go 'round tonight
It's bound to take all night
There's a bathroom on the right
There's a bathroom on the right

Of course I'd never heard of a "bad moon on the
rise" and didn't know what this metaphor could
possibly mean, so it made sense to me that it was
about a bathroom on the right - what every child
wants to know at all times!

It wasn't until my early twenties that my friends
(kindly) corrected me.
