The story:

I never really had an embarrassing moment with
this lyric. I actually just heard it and thought
that it would be a good fit. In all honesty I
feel that the line would make a little more sense
with my misheard lyrics. A cache being data
storage it would make sense for dreams to have a
cache when one gets no sleep.
