The story:

Listening to the song with my husband (then boyfriend) I asked him if he thought the lyrics were kind of weird at the end. He didn't think so, but wanted to know why I did. I explained what I thought the lyrics were and he laughed and laughed and then told me it was "must I be without you honey." Now, 20 years later, we look up the lyrics to find we were BOTH wrong (but mine are still funnier).
