This song was recorded three times by the Whitesnake. The first recording, the lyric was "Like a HOBO I was born to walk alone..." but David Coverdale changed it to "Like a DRIFTER I was born to walk alone..." because he was "...worried people would think he was saying 'HOMO'..."
