"Kiwi and lime..."

The story:

I remember when this first came on the radio, and
since I was driving almost every time I heard it, I
never really had a chance to truly listen to the
lyrics. Because of this, I thought the song had a
bit of a "Margaritaville" vibe and that "kiwi and
lime" referred to the kind of mixed drink he or the
girl he is singing about was sipping on somewhere.
Maybe one day I'll come up with a fantastic kiwi
and lime flavored c**ktail so my sister can no
longer harass me when this comes on the radio.
