I've been looking for a womans who's a lily devoux, and I can feel her but she's no where in sight.

The story:

I was singing this in the car with some friends and mentioned that the singer must like french women as the last name of the lady named lily he was searching for was devoux, they cracked up and corrected me.... I heard it recently and still wanted to sing it the way I thought was correct so many years ago...
