The Story: Don't eat the fruit in the garden, Eden,, It wasn't in God's natural plan., You were only a rib,, And look at what you did,, To Adam, the father of Man.
The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
Well, this was actually my sister who misheard the lyric... she was about 13 or 14 at the time... she and I were sitting in the car with our dad, waiting for our mother to drop something off at a doctor's office... anyway, we were listening to my BBMak CD, and the song "Ghost of You and Me" came on, and my poor sister, confident that she knew the words, sang along, uttering the fateful words "It isn't love, it's rubbery." She would regret that day for the years to come. Our cruel father found my sister's lyrics to be especially humorous, and he remarked that "this was a song to sing to a rubber blow-up doll," much to our embarrassment. To this day, years and years later, we still refer to the song as "the Rubbery Song," and anytime someone happens to be holding something made of rubber, we will always ask, "is it love? Or is it rubbery?" My poor sister... she will never live it down.
