The story:

I'm still not sure if I'm wrong. I was singing it in the car, and my mom said it was inna-gadda-da-vida, not in the garden of eden. But then I read somewhere that the lead singer of Iron Butterfly couldn't pronounce the words cause he was drunk, so they changed them. That would explain all the Christian hymns (God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen) that get played during the organ solo! Also, there was an episode of the Simpsons where Bart replaces all of the sheet music in church with "In the Garden of Eden" and everyone passes out before they can get through the whole song.
