    The story:

    It wasn't so much embarrassing as funny. When I was a little kid, this song was often played on AM radio. FM stations were not yet prominent.
    Most of the time I either heard this song on a portable transistor radio, or in the car; on a cheesy AM only radio with bad speakers. I heard this for the first time on FM and realised I was wrong; because I could actually hear what they were really saying, clearly.
