I was actually amused because the song was very popular at the time I got baptized. I remember my folks scaring me with threats I'd go to hell if I didn't get baptized. When I finally took the plunge (sic), I remember these particular (erroneous) lyrics running through my head as I was pushed under the water. I thought "Oh s**t! I had impure thoughts at the time of my baptism! My salvation is now going to be annulled! I really will go to hell! And I'm not even gay!" (I'm a straight guy.)
