The story:

I was driving in my car years ago when someone called the radio station to request "that song that goes... I'm automatic." The DJ didn't know what he was referring to, so he asked him if he knew anymore of the refrain. The caller said, "I'm automatic, baby, that's a lie." The DJ lost it. It was one of the longest moments of dead air I've ever heard, interrupted only by sporadic gasps and cackles from the radio station crew.
