Not one to pay attention to lyrics, I've had a notion that I was wrong for awhile but never bothered to check my misinformation.
One day at an open-mic poetry reading in a crowded bar, the host of the show announced an 80's theme, and invited anyone to come up and recite the lines to any 80's song they could remember. Incidentally, I was drunk at the time and my inhibition angel wasn't sitting at his usual spot on my shoulder.
Suffice to say, I'm not going back to that bar.
